SEDBA’s April 2026 General Meeting is on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Geezers at 12120 Telegraph Rd, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670, for one (1) hour of General MCLE credit.
This meeting’s topic is “You Can’t Punish Me for That! Retaliation for Lawful Conduct in the Workplace“. Presented by Attorney Karina Godoy.
Social Hour begins at 5:00 PM
The Meeting starts at 6:00 PM
Admission is free for SEDBA Members with meal credits and $55 for all others.
About this month’s speaker:
Attorney Karina Godoy is an Associate Attorney at JML Law, APLC, specializing in employment law, including discrimination, harassment, and wage violations. She manages litigation from start to finish and has experience as lead trial counsel, achieving favorable jury verdicts. Karina is licensed to practice in California and multiple U.S. District Courts.
In 2022, she received the inaugural Judge Harry Pregerson Public Service Award. Since 2020, she has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at Southwestern Law School, teaching Employment Law Survey. Karina chairs the Outreach Committee for the California Employment Lawyers Association and is involved with several legal associations and community organizations, including volunteering at Workers’ Rights Clinics.
Karina holds B.A. degrees in History and Political Science, summa cum laude, and a J.D. from Southwestern Law School, graduating in the top 10% of her class. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
